It’s a shame that I had to buy this. Shame on Apple for making the iphone so incompatible with what is a standard plug. Anyway, it works.

I bought this product for use while working out. I had it for a little over a week (8 Days) before the cable broke, with the headphone adapter snapping off inside my iPhone. Upon inspection the solder joint appears to be very weak. I loved this product but now cant even use it anymore! Disappointed

I’ve been using this for the last 2 weeks and it had been working just fine, audio-wise. But today, I was listening to my iPhone, which was in my coat pocket, when the 3.5mm plug snapped off from its rubber housing, leaving the plug inside the jack. Super fragile.

The original iPhone requires an adaptor in order to use ear phones as the audio jack cannot be accessed without one.
These adaptors are nothing if not losable, and I misplaced mine somewhere. I ordered another from Amazon, selecting
one made by Griffin Technology, having had excellent results with devices from them before. This Adaptor was no
exception; it did the simple job for which it was made with no problem.
Of course I then bought a 3GS iPhone and no longer need this item. But it worked just fine.

Okay, first off, I am a Coolaid drink and have jump on the Apple/Mac/iPod/iPhone band wagon. For the most part their (apple) products are pretty darn amazing. BUT, it was completely irritating that they decided to have a proprietary headphone plug for the 1st generator iPhone. They have since fix it on the new model but WHAT a drag. Anyway, this headphone adapter for the iphone is perfect and works great. Being that it is flexible as compared to some of the solid ones it a much better design (IMHO). So, if you have the first gen iPhone and you want to plug anything standard into it, you need this cable.
