Good advice, DEMCAD. But, really, how could it get THAT bad THAT fast? I understand isolated incidents like the LA riots and Katrina, but we’re talking about an entire nation, right? An entire nation’s infrastructure vanishing overnight? A lot of people are complaining about the economy, I understand, but it’s not like the 1930’s yet. And remember, the 30’s were bad, real bad, but we bounced back (albeit because of war).
An intelligent fellow, they are in short supply these days. People call me crazy and paranoid for bringing up topics like this. In fact, I don’t know anyone who can speak to this subject without sounding like they are flying by the seat of their pants. Good job. Oh, and have faith in your fellow Americans, once the ipods and toys are useless people will get to work to bring it all back.
@drutter good point, if there i something like that happening there will be a police state running things (marshal law), and you don’t want to be brandishing a fire arm unless you want it taken away, or worse, you could be killed. On another note, I don’t have the feeling we have to worry about this collapse to the point of anarchy, but being prepared to farm your own produce and live stock and having some emergency currency that isn’t worthless (as the dollar might crash at any time) is good.

Very good video and advice. I am an old man (70) and I am having the hardest time convincing my grown kids to pay heed to this economy. They laugh at me. Well, when the shit hits the fan, and I believe that it will, it’s me and mamma they’ll come running to. Too bad, I only have enough provisions for the two of us. The reason you will need a gun is your neighbors. I don’t care how nice your neighbors are, when you’re starving you will do whatever it takes to feed your family.
